Congressman McHenry, Mayor Stultz to Open Gastonia 2010 Census Office
WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by the U.S. Census Bureau:

What: Congressman Patrick McHenry and Mayor Jennie T. Stultz, along with U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert Groves and Charlotte Regional Director William W. Hatcher, will preside over the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Gastonia Local Census Office. As the 2010 Census operational hub for Gastonia and five surrounding counties, the staff will be responsible for recruiting and hiring approximately 1,175 workers for the Gastonia office, adding to the more than 24,000 workers needed statewide to count North Carolina's population.
