Contractor RCC Associates Nears Completion of a Two-Phase 18-Month Assignment of Redbury South Beach and Lorenzo on Collins Avenue

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Award winning general contractor RCC Associates, which recently delivered the strikingly beautiful Lippi restaurant on Brickell Avenue in downtown Miami, was across Biscayne Bay on South Beach last week toasting the VIP opening of Lorenzo a trendy Italian restaurant at The Redbury South Beach.

While guests gathered at the opening of Lorenzo enjoying a sumptuous sampling of hors d'oeuvres and classic wines, contractor Beverly Raphael, President of RCC Associates, saw the opening as an ending to a construction assignment which involved modernizing a historic Art Deco hotel and providing the first permanent South Beach restaurant for James Beard Award Winner Tony Mantuano, chef/partner of Spiaggia, Chicago's only 4-star restaurant.

Raphael, whose South Florida firm has delivered some 30 new restaurants in 2013, recalled one of the more interesting elements in the Redbury South Beach hotel being the installation of a 15,000 pound 15' x 30' rooftop swimming pool.

The forthcoming 69-room boutique hotel at 1776 Collins was formerly the Fairfax, built in 1952.  An industry-leading hospitality, lifestyle development company, sbe, and Larry Levy, Founder and Chairman of Levy Restaurants, and Bob Heyat are the partnership behind the hotel.  Sam Nazarian is the founder, chairman and CEO of sbe, which opened the Redbury @Hollywood and Vine in Los Angeles in 2010.
