Convene Appoints Commercial Real Estate Veteran Matthew Legge to Oversee National Real Estate Expansion

NEW YORK, Aug. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Convene (www.convene.com), a progressive developer and operator of hospitality-infused environments for the modern workplace, has appointed Matthew Legge to the newly created position of vice president, Real Estate and Acquisitions.

Mr. Legge will oversee all real estate activities including property development, joint ventures and acquisitions. He will direct Convene's national and international expansion efforts together with Convene's principals and support the company's capital raising activities.

Prior to joining Convene, Mr. Legge served as general counsel and managed development and investment matters for a Canadian family office focused on real estate investment and development in Canada and Europe. He played an integral role in the firm's development of mixed-use real estate projects throughout Western Canada and managed legal and business matters for its portfolio of operating companies.

Mr. Legge joined Convene with the intention of not only growing its presence, but also helping to distinguish Convene as a leader in the evolution of real estate.

Mr. Legge has a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from the University of Manitoba in Canada. He also holds a master's degree in real estate from Cornell University. While at Cornell, he served as the president of the Cornell Associate Real Estate Council and the executive editor of the Cornell Real Estate Case Study Series.

He is an active member of several real estate industry groups including the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Cornell Real Estate Council.

Mr. Legge currently resides in New York City. A native of Canada, Mr. Legge enjoys traveling internationally and is active in sailing, tennis and hiking.
