Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Opens its Doors to the Community for a Free Concert Performance by the U.S. Naval Academy Gospel Choir

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church will host the internationally acclaimed U.S. Naval Academy Gospel Choir on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 7 p.m. This free concert is open to the public and will take place in the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church's Sanctuary, located at 5555 N. Federal Highway.

"This year's concert series has introduced our audiences to a broad and varied range of music and talent. However, the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) Gospel Choir is sure to be a memorable standout," said Chelsea Chen, Artistic Director of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Concert Series. "The incredible voices of this ensemble combined with their enthusiastic and inspirational performances make this an ideal concert for the entire family to attend."

Under the direction of Ms. Karla Scott, the choir spreads the joy of gospel music and helps the Naval Academy fulfill its various missions. This upbeat inspirational musical ensemble is comprised of midshipmen from various places and races and is reflective of the diverse interests and ethnicities within the Brigade of Midshipmen.

Throughout the year, the USNA Gospel Choir maintains an active schedule with performances at the Naval Academy and across the nation. Notable appearances include the Inaugural Concert, "We Are One," performed on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for President Obama and a concert tour representing the United States throughout South Korea.
