Council on Undergraduate Research Honors Congressman Fattah
WASHINGTON, April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), Senior Democrat on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, is being honored for his commitment to undergraduate science research by the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). Fattah is being presented with an Honorary CUR Fellows Award at the organization's 2013 Posters on the Hill event today. The event recognizes the innovative research work of undergraduate students from 80 colleges and universities nationwide.

CUR is honoring Congressman Fattah for his support to promote undergraduate research and the mission of CUR.

The CUR awards are presented annually on Capitol Hill in collaboration with the American Chemical Society. It gives Congressional Members the opportunity to hear directly from students and faculty about the importance of undergraduate research and the federal investments that support the endeavor.
