From the beloved annual tradition of midnight fireworks along the lakefront to the ever-popular parties on land and boat, Navy Pier offers plenty of events and entertainment to make the transition to 2016 a memorable one!
As one of Chicago's top family-friendly New Year's Eve destinations, Navy Pier continues to extend families the opportunity to begin the celebration early at the PNC Bank Winter WonderFest. With more than 24 rides and attractions, including the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Skating Rink and the new Ice Peaks Climbing Walls, families can enjoy quality time together in anticipation of the New Year. The PNC Bank Winter WonderFest will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
At the stroke of midnight, families and visitors can enjoy Navy Pier's signature fireworks show along the lakefront. Synchronized to music, the fireworks show promises a unique and magical experience over a span of 15 minutes, making it the longest fireworks display in the city. This year's show will be integrated into programming for Chi-Town Rising, the inaugural citywide New Year's Eve celebration set to take place in downtown Chicago.
In addition to the family-friendly activities on the Pier, several epic parties will be offered for adults over the age of 21.
The 4th Annual Chicago Resolution Gala returns to Navy Pier's Aon Grand Ballroom as a part of the Chi-Town Rising programming. The event, which runs from 8:15 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., will feature more than 30 bars within the venue, an incredible food spread, music from four world-renowned live DJs and access to an exclusive private space on the Lakeview Terrace to watch the fireworks show at midnight.
