Course Hero Welcomes Tomás Pueyo as Vice President of Growth

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Course Hero, an online learning platform where members can access over 20 million course-specific study resources contributed by a community of students and educators, today announced the appointment of Tomás Pueyo as Vice President of Growth. A distinguished leader and public speaker, Pueyo has driven growth programs for the likes of Zynga and SigFig.

Pueyo assumes responsibility for driving Course Hero's user and content growth, leading cross-functional initiatives to optimize the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention, as well as helping determine new market opportunities.

"Driven by the increase of educational resources available on our platform over the last 8 years, Course Hero has seen 6,500% growth of student and educator subscribers, and we're looking to continue that trajectory," said Andrew Grauer cofounder and CEO of Course Hero. "To fill this role, we were looking for a proven leader who is innovative, strategic and comfortable with experimentation and analysis. We found that perfect blend with Tomás and his impact has already been felt across the organization in the short amount of time that he has been here."

"Education Technology always attracted me: it has the potential to solve many of our society's problems. Unfortunately, most companies in the industry either are unviable or don't have a worthwhile mission," said Pueyo. "Course Hero helps millions of students graduate, and it also has an eye-popping business and growth potential. You just don't find companies like that."
