Teaming with CIGNA Healthcare, Covenant's goal is to support a healthy lifestyle for our people by providing free optional biometric screenings and health assessments.
Covenant will offer free biometric screenings to all employees covered under the CIGNA health plan. The screenings provide an easy way for employees to identify their lifestyle and disease risk factors, and immediately receive information and referrals to available programs that will help them take action. Screenings include a lifestyle questionnaire, as well as the following tests: cholesterol, glucose (blood sugar), blood pressure, height, weight, and waist circumference, and Body Mass Index (BMI).
The second step in the process is to complete a health assessment, which is designed to provide customized insight into individual health. Aggregate information concerning the overall health of employees is used to develop future programs that will have a major impact on improving the health of our employee population and reduce costs. Participating employees will receive a detailed report of their health status, which is designed to help employees understand their health as it relates to their age and gender group.
