Craig Anderson To Join Compass As Chief Financial Officer

Fast-Growing Real Estate Technology Firm Appoints the Former Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Flywheel Sports

NEW YORK, Aug. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass, a real estate technology company, today announced that Craig Anderson will join its leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. Anderson will develop and deploy the financial strategy to facilitate the company's continued hypergrowth, and will oversee the finance, investor relations, new development, and legal teams. Anderson will start on September 5, reporting into Chief Executive Officer Robert Reffkin.

Anderson's hire comes on the heels of Compass' appointment of Madan Nagaldinne as Chief People Officer, and several other executive hires in 2017, including Chief Operating Officer Maëlle Gavet and Head of Communications Julie Binder. Year to date, Compass has added more than 400 agents to its team, opened 10 offices around the country, and is on pace to more than double its 2016 annual revenue.

Anderson was most recently the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Flywheel Sports where he was responsible for operations, finance, supply chain, analytics, legal and strategic initiatives. At Flywheel, Anderson helped the organization grow to more than 40 locations and develop a consumer technology product. Prior to Flywheel, Anderson was President and Chief Operating Officer at an online advertising exchange, where he drove growth from 200 advertisers in 2013 to more than 4,000 in 2015. He previously served as a Vice President at The Blackstone Group. Craig is a lawyer who began his career at O'Melveny & Myers where he worked on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and private equity deals. He has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Anderson succeeds David Snider who is taking on a new role at Bain Capital.
