Creative Planning and Harvesters Launch Initiative to Deliver Food to Families

KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter Mallouk, President and Chief Investment Officer, Creative Planning, announces today his company has increased their gift to Harvesters—The Community Food Network to $1 million. This donation will help assist the food bank's response to the COVID-19 crisis to deliver food for families that can't afford food.

Harvesters is focusing on providing additional food to pantries and mobile distributions to support families. Vulnerable families will face additional financial burdens if they have to miss work to care for children who are out of school, if they don't have paid sick leave or are sick themselves. Harvesters knows these families will be in need of additional food. Additionally, with schools closed, children who receive free and reduced meals may be at risk, impacting Harvesters' ability to deliver BackSnacks. Seniors are some of the most vulnerable during this time and are in need of nutritious food now more than ever.
