Creative Planning to Acquire RVK, Expanding Its Institutional Investment Consulting Capabilities

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Creative Planning, one of the nation's largest registered investment advisors (RIAs), today announced a definitive acquisition agreement for RVK, Inc. (RVK), a leading institutional investment consulting firm headquartered in Portland, Oregon.

The acquisition will significantly expand assets under advisement and investment consulting capabilities. RVK advises just over 200 institutional clients with approximately $4.3 trillion in assets. Clients include public and private retirement plans, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, health systems and other sophisticated asset owners.

For more than 40 years, RVK has provided non-discretionary investment consulting tailored to each client's objectives. Its capabilities include investment policy development, asset allocation, asset/liability studies, investment manager research and selection, performance measurement, operational diligence, governance consulting, and other specialized institutional advisory services. RVK will continue to be led by its current management team, pursuing the same dedicated focus on institutional investment counsel.

RVK's dedicated research and institutional consulting teams will add significant depth to Creative Planning's ability to support organizations across investment strategy, fiduciary governance and portfolio oversight.

The transaction is expected to close in January 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Goldman Sachs & Co. is acting as exclusive financial advisor to Creative Planning.  Financial terms weren't disclosed.
