CrowdStrike Appoints Amol Kulkarni as Vice President Engineering

IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CrowdStrike Inc., a leading provider of next-generation endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and services, today announced the appointment of Amol Kulkarni as Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Kulkarni will oversee the company's engineering organization and customer-facing technology infrastructure.

Kulkarni brings more than 20 years of engineering experience, ranging from sensitive embedded systems to highly available cloud services handling hundreds of terabytes of data inflow daily. Prior to joining CrowdStrike, Kulkarni held numerous senior engineering positions at Microsoft. Most recently, he was responsible for the knowledge platform in Bing, driving significant gains for Bing's search market share. Kulkarni also held senior roles in Windows Azure and BizTalk Server, helping reduce COGs and improve developer productivity. Kulkarni holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, a Master of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the College of Engineering, Pune, India.
