CTIA Announces 2013 E-Tech Award Finalists

WASHINGTON, April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CTIA–The Wireless Association® today announced the finalists for the 2013 Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards, after receiving an all-time high number of submissions for the competition. The awards honor the industry's most innovative new wireless products and services in mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise & vertical markets and network technology. Nearly 100 entries will be featured at CTIA 2013™, which takes place May 21-23, 2012 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Submissions were judged on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall "wow" factor. Online judging for the awards categories was conducted by a panel of highly-respected industry experts, reporters and analysts.

Host and CNBC Technology Correspondent John Fortt will announce the E-Tech Awards winners on Wednesday, May 22 at 2 p.m. PDT on the Exhibit Innovations Stage, located within CTIA World, Booth 5646.

VOTING
Nearly 100 E-Tech submissions will be displayed in the Emerging Technology Awards Showcase in Booth 5646 on the trade show floor during the show. Attendees may vote for their favorite entries online and via text during CTIA 2013.

Votes for "Best Online Pick" may be cast at www.ctiashow.com/awards by May 20 at 5:00 p.m. PDT. The entry that earns the most text votes on-site during the show will be named "Best in Show."
