CTIA Announces its Second Annual BIG Idea Contest Finalists

Winners Announced May 8 in New Orleans at International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012

WASHINGTON, April 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- International CTIA WIRELESS® 2012 today announced the five finalists in its second annual BIG Idea Contest which recognizes the mobile industry's newest and most innovative concepts dedicated to improving the way we live, work and play. The five finalists will share their big ideas on stage at International CTIA WIRELESS, taking place May 8-10, 2012 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

Nearly 10,000 mobile professionals voted online to choose the five BIG Idea finalists out of almost 25 submissions. The five finalists are:

• BroadSoft – BroadTouch Business Communicator
• Datawind – Bridging the Digital Divide
• MedCash Solutions, Inc. – Community Action for Social Healthcare
• Missing Link – Web-based identification system for mobile devices
• TIP Solutions Inc. – Smart Calls for Smart Phones

CTIA will host the awards ceremony Tuesday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. CDT from the Exhibit Innovations Stage located in Booth 4575. The five BIG Idea finalists will present their ideas, visions and concepts to a live voting audience. The top three submissions with the most votes will be the winners of the CTIA WIRELESS BIG Idea Contest.
