Cydcor Sends Volunteers to Assist Operation Smile Medical Mission
Cydcor helps raise more than $500,000 and funds a third medical mission
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cydcor, the leading provider of professional in-person sales teams is proud to have supported a third mission to Guatemala following its ongoing fundraising efforts for Operation Smile. The world-renowned international children's medical charity provides life-changing surgeries to children born with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities.
The Guatemala volunteer effort comes on the heels of the March 2014 mission to San Cristobal, Mexico, where Cydcor volunteers assisted Operation Smile doctors, nurses, and other volunteers who helped to perform surgeries and procedures for children with cleft lips and cleft palates, providing healthy smiles and restoring hope among families.
In 2013, Cydcor and its network of independent sales offices held the first-ever "Day of Smiles," an event that raised approximately $100,000 for the organization – surpassing its $90,000 goal. It was the single largest fundraising effort that helped to fund the medical mission to Mexico, and through ongoing successful efforts Cydcor has continued to fundraise for additional medical missions. In 2014, Cydcor expanded the fundraising event to a "Week of Smiles" across North America.
The campaign has become a tradition within Cydcor, and has continued to be a huge success. Presently, Cydcor has raised more than $500,000 through the combined efforts Cydcor of the independent sales offices various charity tournaments, recycling programs and the generous donations of Cydcor employees and supporters.
