Cydcor's 2nd Annual Smiles Event Raises $30,000 for Operation Smile

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cydcor, the global leader in outsourced sales, is excited to announce the success of its Week of Smiles campaign, which served as a great opportunity for teams to work together while raising money for Operation Smile. Operation Smile is a children's medical organization that helps children who have cleft lip and cleft palate receive new smiles. Cydcor is proud to support Operation Smile.

Cydcor's Week of Smiles campaign raised over $30,000 for Operation Smile, and equates to approximately 125 surgeries. These funds help Operation Smile broaden its impact in areas where access to healthcare is difficult, providing healthcare screenings and surgeries for children. Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. These children may have difficulty eating, breast feeding, speaking, hearing or breathing properly. Operation Smile restore smiles and renews hope for thousands of children each year. "Cydcor strives for excellence and this carries over to what we do in our communities—not just in North America, but around the world," said Vera Quinn, Chief Operating Officer at Cydcor. "Having been on a medical mission myself, I can attest to the amazing impact Operation Smile has on patients and their families. At the beginning of 2014, Cydcor and sales office employees traveled to San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico, where they were able to meet some of the individuals that directly benefited from their fundraising efforts. Later this month, another team will be traveling to Guatemala to participate on their 3^rd medical mission. It all started in  2012, when volunteers made a similar trip to Brazil, where more than 600 surgeries were provided to children.  Cydcor is proud of its partnership with Operation Smile and plans to continue working with the organization in the future.
