• Only 15% of consumers feel very confident that companies are adequately protecting their information.
• 63% of consumers prefer proactive privacy tools—which can include services such as VPNs, Password Managers and Data Broker Opt Out - over nominal cash settlements
• 83% of consumers believe companies will continue to misuse data even after penalties, signaling deep distrust in current remedies.
