David Selznick Joins Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors as Managing Director

ARMONK, N.Y., Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kayne Anderson Real Estate Advisors ("KAREA"), the private equity real estate arm of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, which invests primarily in student housing, announced today the appointment of David Selznick as a Managing Director.  Mr. Selznick is responsible for all portfolio financing activities and strategic initiatives with active involvement in structuring transactions and implementing value-add enhancements to portfolios.

Selznick, who began his career in 2003, has worked in real estate finance with Deutsche Bank, Bridger Commercial Funding, Capmark and Nat City Investments. Throughout his career Selznick has acquired, underwritten and/or securitized over $1 billion in commercial real estate transactions, bringing a broad perspective and great value to his current role at KAREA.
