Davisco to Showcase Innovative Protein Products at SupplySide West
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Davisco, business unit of Agropur inc., will showcase innovative whey protein products at SupplySide West Oct. 5-9 in Las Vegas. A new alpha-lactalbumin protein drink prototype will be at Davisco's booth (No. 4632), along with a premium trail mix protein bar.
Alpha-lactalbumin is the primary protein in human breast milk and is uniquely rich in tryptophan, the precursor to serotonin. The neurotransmitter serotonin affects mood and studies show that alpha-lactalbumin, a common ingredient in infant formula, improves morning alertness and attention when consumed in the evening. Davisco manufactures the cleanest commercially available form of alpha-lactalbumin at more than 92 percent purity and recently hosted a first-of-its-kind educational conference on the protein called Alpha Summit 2015.
Davisco's premium trail mix whey protein bar contains BioZate® 7, a hydrolyzed whey protein that is lactose-, fat- and gluten-free.
