NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte today announced the appointment of Kevin Westcott to lead its newly combined telecom, media and entertainment (TM&E) sector within the United States technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) practice. Westcott, a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, previously served as the vice chairman and leader for Deloitte's U.S. media and entertainment practice.
In his new role, Westcott will lead the overall strategic direction and market eminence of the TM&E sector, and will introduce go-to-market strategies for Deloitte's key businesses including audit, consulting, tax and advisory services. He will oversee a team of over 1,200 professionals who specialize in areas across TM&E.
Craig Wigginton, who has successfully served for the past six years as vice chairman, Deloitte LLP, and leader for the U.S. telecommunications sector, will continue to serve as lead client service partner and advisory partner for a number of Deloitte's leading telecom clients in the U.S. and globally. He also will continue leading the global telecom practice as well as the technology, media and telecom practice in the Americas.

Westcott, based in Los Angeles, has nearly 30 years of experience in strategic and operational planning, global business change, and technology projects for major telecommunications and media organizations. His wide range of industry experience includes film, television, home entertainment, broadcasting, publishing, licensing and games. Westcott is a lead spokesperson for Deloitte's Digital Media Trends Survey, an annual look at media trends, and speaks regularly on media and entertainment consumption trends at elite industry conferences.
