Deloitte's Robin Lineberger Receives 2012 Federal 100 Award

WASHINGTON, March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Robin Lineberger, chief executive officer, Deloitte Federal Government Services, has been named a Federal 100 Award winner in the Outstanding Achievement Award in Industry category.  Presented annually by Federal Computer Week and the 1105 Government Information Group, this prestigious award recognizes individuals in government and industry who made significant contributions to the federal information technology community in 2012.

Over the past 23 years, this important recognition has been given to government and industry leaders who have played pivotal roles in the federal government IT community.  Winners include those who have helped to transform their agency, accelerated their agency's mission, or affected change, progress and efficiency in determining how the federal government acquires, develops and manages IT.  This is the second Federal 100 Award for Lineberger, who was honored previously in 2004.

As Deloitte's Federal Government Services CEO, Lineberger oversees the $1.3 billion organization, which provides consulting, risk advisory, and financial advisory services to every cabinet-level agency in the U.S. government.  Under his leadership, the practice has experienced a 10 percent growth in revenue and its workforce has increased to more than 6,600 dedicated professionals. As a result, Deloitte has become a leading professional services provider to the federal government, providing cutting edge solutions to clients through increased investment in innovation centers, skilled talent, and strategic acquisitions. In addition to his current position, Lineberger also serves on the Executive Committee for the Deloitte U.S. Firms.

Lineberger was also recently named a commissioner on the TechAmerica Foundation's Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud (CLOUD2).  The commission provided the Obama Administration with recommendations for how the government could deploy cloud technologies and develop public policy to help drive U.S. innovation in the cloud.  In May 2011, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in Industry by Bethesda's chapter of The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Professional Services Council and is treasurer of the Northern Virginia Technology Council. Lineberger is also the co-chair of the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition advisory board.
