Delta Community Appoints Tim Mitchell as Chief Information Officer

ATLANTA, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Community Credit Union (www.DeltaCommunityCU.com), Georgia's largest credit union with $4.7 billion in assets and more than 310,000 members, has named Timothy (Tim) L. Mitchell as its new Chief Information Officer. Mitchell, 52, will join Delta Community on February 1. He succeeds Bill Mesplay whom the Credit Union has chosen to serve as its first Senior Vice President of Remote Delivery, a new role dedicated to leading the strategic development of Delta Community's member self-service channels, including ATMs, kiosks and online and mobile banking.

Mitchell retired from Delta Air Lines in 2014 after 26 years of service. He held a number of senior roles during his tenure, including Chief Information Officer of Endeavor Air. Mitchell is a graduate of Georgia State University and holds a Business Administration degree in Finance. He and his wife reside in Alpharetta.
