Denver G. Edwards Joins Bressler, Amery & Ross as Principal in Securities Practice
Brings Financial Services Regulatory, Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights, and Litigation Experience to the Firm
NEW YORK, Aug. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. announced today that Denver G. Edwards has joined the firm as a Principal in its Securities Practice.
Mr. Edwards brings a range of public and private sector experience to the firm, having worked at the Comptroller of the Currency and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Goldman Sachs & Co., Toyota, and national law firms. He will be resident in Bressler's New York office. Mr. Edwards was most recently a partner at Bryant Rabbino LLP.

Mr. Edwards' financial services practice focuses on defending a wide range of investigations brought by regulators and conducting internal investigations. He began his legal career in the Enforcement Divisions of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency at the Treasury Department and the SEC, respectively, and served as counsel in the Broker-Dealer Group at Bingham McCutchen. Mr. Edwards was also a vice president at Goldman Sachs, where he led the investment bank's Regulatory Inquiries Group.
He also represents creditors in business reorganizations, litigates avoidance actions, and counsels clients regarding their contractual rights in bankruptcy. In addition, Mr. Edwards has experience advising large, middle market, and small entities across a broad spectrum of industries. Mr. Edwards was a Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights associate in the New York office of Kelley Drye & Warren. He later served as counsel to New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc., a Toyota affiliate, where he helped directors and officers develop and execute plans to monetize assets and maximize shareholder value during the company's wind down and dissolution.

Mr. Edwards earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1994 and a B.A. in History from Middlebury College in 1988.
