"Derby Experiences" 2013 Packages To Include Parties, Luxury Out-Of-State Transportation And Extended-Stay Opportunities

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Churchill Downs^® and QuintEvents^® will put fans, groups and businesses into made-to-order packages including the biggest parties of Kentucky Derby Week in 2013 with the "Derby Experiences" travel experience program.

The 139^th running of the $2 million guaranteed Kentucky Derby® Presented by Yum! Brands is set for Saturday, May 4 with the $1 million Kentucky Oaks® – the Derby's sister race for fillies –  on Friday, May 3. Derby Experiences, the Official Experience Package Provider to Churchill Downs for the two races, offering official packages of travel, accommodations, tickets, tourism attractions and amenities for Derby week, has sold out every year since 2008, increasing the Derby's economic impact on Greater Louisville by exposing fans to other regional destinations.

For the first time, Derby Experiences has added luxury motor coach packages to the offerings. The "Derby Bus Tour" will offer comfortable regional round-trip transportation aboard lavish motor coaches to/from the Chicago and Indianapolis areas and Louisville. 

Customers can choose Party Packages, attending Taste of the Derby™ (Thursday, May 2) or The Winner's Party (Saturday evening following the Kentucky Derby) as part of their experience.  For earlier Louisville arrivals, horse farm and distillery tours, museum visits, golf and other amenities can be part of a customized package.
