Details Released for Upcoming CMLS 2010 Conference Agenda
LISLE, Ill., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Much thought goes into creating an agenda for any conference, especially one as prestigious as the annual Council of Multiple Listing Services get-together. It is held over a two day period, so it is by nature tightly packed with information and speakers. This year's event, hosted by MRED at the Westin River North in downtown Chicago, is no exception.
"Having hosted and attended many of these events has provided me with lots of examples to draw upon in creating this year's agenda," states Russ Bergeron, MRED CEO. "The challenge was in choosing topics that are most relevant and selecting speakers who are pertinent and will capture the audience's interests."
The main event begins the morning of Thursday, September 30th, with a keynote address from Stefan Swanepoel, futurist and prolific real estate author, delivering his lively presentation "Top Trends Impacting the Future of the Real Estate Industry". Other subjects for the first day include "Providing Out of Sight Service"; "Ratings, Rankings and Recommendations" - should the MLS be in the business of rating its own members; and "Short Sales Assistance from the Feds" – can we speed up the process? Day One wraps up with the return of Mr. Swanepoel delving into the trends and impacts of social media.
Highlights of Day Two will include a dynamic presentation on the "Importance of both Leaders and Followers"; brief demonstrations by several MLSs of apps they have developed for their constituents; survey results and a panel discussion regarding what real estate brokers want from their MLS; and a wrap up from blogger extraordinaire Rob Hahn (aka Notorious R.O.B.).
Throughout the conference, the top providers of MLS and Real Estate related products and services will be on hand to demonstrate their wares to the conference attendees.
