Detroit Church's "Chilling" Presentation About Hell has Become a Motor City Tradition Drawing Huge Crowds Every Year

This is the 14th year for the "longest running" religious stage dramatization in Detroit.  At Greater Grace Temple, "TO HELL & BACK" provokes deep thought among the 4,000+ who see it each Halloween

DETROIT, Oct. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Call it intense, unnerving, frightening, yet compelling.  That's "TO HELL & BACK," presented  "LIVE" on stage at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, Friday, October 28th, 2011.  Start time is 7:00 p.m.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to join Bishop Charles H. Over the years, the church has gained a "national" reputation for its elaborate "illustrated sermons," where drama and the gospel are a powerful mix.  " TO HELL & BACK" has been seen by thousands over the last 13 years, and has been broadcast coast to coast on The Word Network.  More than 100 cast members and stage crew will use pyrotechnic effects, professional costuming and make-up, and eerie lighting to make this fright-filled presentation seem all too real.  

TO HELL & BACK begins with a stoic angel who leads Bishop Ellis thru the dark caverns of the damned.  Their testimonies of "what could have been" and unending pain amid a hopeless oblivion are food for some very deep thought.  The message of each one is clear: "Don't come here!"
