Detroit Tigers and Karmanos Cancer Institute team up for Pink Out the Park Sept. 5

Raising Breast Cancer Awareness and Support for Breast Cancer Research

DETROIT, July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Detroit Tigers and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute are teaming up for Pink Out the Park at the Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Indians game Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7:05 p.m., at Comerica Park. This special Pink Out the Park event, sponsored by Kroger, will raise awareness of breast cancer, as well as help raise funds for breast cancer research at the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Detroit Tiger fans will have two opportunities to show their support. Visit www.karmanos.org/tigers for ticket purchase information or call 313-576-8112.

• Pepsi Porch Party tickets, at $65 each, will include: a seat in the Outfield Box area with access to the Pepsi Porch; a Pink Out the Park t-shirt; and all you can eat Ballpark Buffet with hot dogs, hamburgers, cole slaw, pasta salad, baked beans, chips, water and soft drinks.
• Cancer-Fighting tickets, at $18 each, will provide seating in the Mezzanine area plus a Pink Out the Park t-shirt.  

There will also be kiosks throughout Comerica Park with breast health education materials for fans to take home.

Kroger will serve as the event sponsor and will provide a giveaway item to the first 10,000 fans attending the Sept. 5 Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Indians game.
