Dimension Data Drives Economic Growth Through Continued Expansion In Fairfax County, Virginia

WHAT:  Xigo, a cloud-based telecom expense management (TEM) solutions company that was recently acquired by multi-billion dollar global IT solutions and services provider Dimension Data, is moving its headquarters to Fairfax County, Virginia.

Xigo's move brings it closer to other Dimension Data offices located in Herndon and Reston, and underscores the IT service provider's rapidly growing presence in Northern Virginia. Due to this acquisition, as well as organic growth, Dimension Data's employee base in the region has increased by 150% – from 65 to more than 150 employees.

As part of its on going growth, Dimension Data has aggressive hiring plans for the coming year, with a wide range of employment opportunities available to residents of Fairfax and surrounding counties.

Dimension Data announced the acquisition of Xigo in February 2012, fast-tracking its Services strategy of becoming a fully-fledged Managed Communications Service Provider and enhancing its ability to deliver greater client value with an integrated cost optimization solution for communications spend analysis, sourcing, provisioning and invoice processing.
