Dimension Data Holds Fifth Annual Day of Service with City Year New York

NEW YORK, May 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dimension Data, the $5.8 billion global ICT solutions and services provider, and NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Group (NYSE: NTT), today announced the two companies held a community service day on Thursday, May 23 to benefit New York City non-profit organization Harlem Grown. Dimension Data and NTT Com are data, cloud and international communications businesses within the NTT Group and both companies have their U.S. headquarters in New York City. For the fifth consecutive year, employees helped City Year New York maintain and develop new community gardens that benefit local schools, seniors and other community members.

Harlem Grown is an independent, non-profit organization that partners with the New York City Parks Department and Department of Education and a variety of food advocacy and community agriculture organizations. The main function of Harlem Grown is to connect local public schools to the greater community through the use of common garden spaces and mutually engaging activities.

Dimension Data's Heads, Hearts and Hands program enables the company to share resources globally and work together with employees across three main areas: social issues, environmental issues, and ethics and governance. As part of the program, Dimension Data employees receive eight hours of paid time off annually to give back to the charities of their choice. Every year, across the Americas, the company's employees participate in hundreds of CSR initiatives with organizations such as the MS Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the Ronald McDonald House. Worldwide, Dimension Data participates in more than 500 initiatives every year.
