Direct Textbook Launches New Android App and Mobile Site To Help College Students Save Up To 90% On Textbooks

The Android app and mobile site feature the same powerful tools found on Direct Textbook's already-popular iPhone app.

The Direct Textbook Android app and mobile site are free to use, and allow students to search for textbooks by title, author, ISBN, keywords and other filters. Search queries are processed through Direct Textbook's extensive textbook database and more than 200 booksellers. Single-page search results also display shipping and handling fees as well as available coupons.

The average college freshman will spend nearly $5,000 on textbooks during the course of earning a four-year degree. Most students overpay by an average of 45 percent. However, a quick search on Direct Textbook could yield up to 90 percent savings on individual titles and add up to an average four-year savings of $2,500.
