Discovery Point Child Care Franchises, set to open second Lakewood Ranch, Fl center

BRADENTON, Fla., June 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Discovery Point Child Development Centers, a leading educational childcare franchise, has begun development on a new center in Lakewood Ranch!

Since 1988, Discovery Point has grown to serve over 35 communities in the southeast, with centers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

The newly designed building is 12,000 square feet and will host 11 classrooms from Infants to School Age Programs including Before and After School Care and Summer Camp. Discovery Point Lakewood Ranch will be owned and operated by residents Dr. Roger and Robin Clough.

Dr. Roger Clough and his wife Robin are experienced owners, opening their Twelve Oaks center in Bradenton in December of 2020. The center quickly grew to capacity and became a standard for childcare in the area. As well as serving the families in the community, the Cloughs have made management of their own center a family focused endeavor as well. Their daughter McKenzie Clough graduated from the University of Tampa and joined the Twelve Oaks center as the Assistant Director in January of 2024. She will have an active role in management of the new center in Lakewood Ranch. Their son Owen who attends the University of Tampa, works at Twelve Oaks as well. He is an Assistant Teacher for summer camp and also works when he is home from college. This is his third summer working as a summer camp teacher Assistant.
