NEW YORK, Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DMCloud, a video hosting platform by DailyMotion, recently announced plans to close its doors as of April 15, 2015. Current subscribers are expected to join the new DailyMotion Partner Program, which requires that ads are enabled on all video content, or to migrate to another video hosting platform.

Given the difficulty inherent in migrating large libraries of video content, SproutVideo recently launched a custom DMCloud importing tool that allows current DMCloud subscribers to seamlessly transfer their video content between the two video hosting platforms. Rather than spending hours downloading and uploading videos, DMCloud subscribers choosing to switch to SproutVideo just need to provide two account details to SproutVideo's support team in order to automate the entire process.
"We initially built the DMCloud import tool at the request of a customer who needed to migrate more than 9,000 videos; however, we think the size of someone's video library doesn't really matter. What matters is being able to avoid the needlessly painful process of downloading videos and reuploading them to a new platform entirely," Adam Podolnick, Founder and CEO of SproutVideo, said. "We are happy to offer this seamless solution to anyone currently on DMCloud who needs to make a switch prior to DMCloud closing their doors on April 15, 2015."
One subscriber who already migrated their videos from DMCloud stated, "SproutVideo offers a video hosting solution that suits our purpose very well, because it allows for seamless integration of video in products, instead of trying to monetize on video by the use of advertising. The helpful attitude, high availability and responsiveness of the support team is remarkable and made the transition to their service surprisingly easy. After migrating our videos to SproutVideo we noticed that their encoding process resulted in a higher image quality than we were used to with our previous video hosting service." - Ferrie Bank, CTO at Oxyor.
SproutVideo offers ad-free video hosting services to businesses, and provides the video marketing, security and analytical tools required for video campaign success. For more details and a comparison of the two services' respective features, please visit https://sproutvideo.com/dailymotion.
