Dogtopia Announces Grand Opening of Second Delaware Location in Elsmere

ELSMERE, Del., Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dogtopia, a leading national dog daycare and spa franchise, announced today the grand opening of its second Delaware location in Elsmere. With services ranging from open play dog daycare, overnight boarding to spa services, Elsmere residents will now have a place to take their beloved pooches. A local mother-daughter team, Tammy and Christine Holm, are furthering their entrepreneurial spirit and love for dogs by bringing this unique business to the community.

A grand opening celebration will take place at the Elsmere Dogtopia located on 319 New Road on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy music, delicious appetizers and tours of the facility. Dogs will also be treated to special treats and a doggy cake from EskiCo, a local dog bakery specializing in whole food snacks for dogs.

Tammy and Christine first learned about Dogtopia when they brought their dog, a Doberman named Gracie, to the Wilmington location. They immediately fell in love with the concept and decided Dogtopia was the perfect business opportunity. Before Dogtopia, Christine worked in the property management industry, while her mother Tammy was working as a realtor in the declining housing market. Christine's love of animals and business degree coupled with Tammy's previous business ownership experience made the perfect partnership to open the Elsmere Dogtopia.

Generally, 25-30 dogs play in each room and Dogtopia employs web camera technology in each room that allows the dogs' owners to check on their pets at any time.
