NASHVILLE, Dec. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With the holidays right around the corner, country music legend Dolly Parton is determined to help save the life of one of her dearest friends. Dolly's long time attorney and close personal friend Jerry Edelstein is in need of a kidney, and she has stepped in to lend her support by recording a heartfelt video asking for help.

Edelstein, whose other iconic clients include Jon Bon Jovi, has been seeking a kidney for several years. As we enter 2016, his need has now become desperate. The Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America and Public Good are hoping to raise money and awareness in order to find a donor with an O blood type, who could save Jerry's life. The Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America, a nonprofit based in New York City that helps people nationwide in need of a kidney donor, and Public Good, a benefit corporation with a free online platform for nonprofits, have partnered to help find kidney donors and raise money for the holidays for Jerry and other people in desperate need.
