NEW YORK, March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US announced MacDonnell "Don" Ulsch has joined PwC as a managing director in the firm's U.S. Advisory practice. Based in Boston, Ulsch will focus on helping clients investigate, mitigate, prevent and respond to cybercrime and data breach incidents. A seasoned subject matter specialist, Ulsch brings a wealth of knowledge and experience advising organizations on information security, risk management, compliance and security improvement strategy.

Ulsch has extensive experience with regulatory compliance and the impact of emerging legislation and global privacy initiatives. He has worked with clients in the manufacturing, defense, retail, financial services, technology, law and healthcare industries.
Most recently, Ulsch was the CEO of ZeroPoint Risk Research, a firm he founded in 2009. Previously, he founded the information security practice at Dataquest/Dun & Bradstreet and served in senior level positions at Jefferson Wells, Gartner, Inc. and PwC. He also served on the U.S. Secrecy Commission chaired by U.S. Senator Jesse Helms and U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
An established subject matter specialist on issues related to cybersecurity, Ulsch is a frequent commentator in the media, including with FOX News, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, and CNN.com. He authored a book on threat management entitled, THREAT! Managing Risk in a Hostile World and has authored a forthcoming book on today's cyber threat.
