Dos Toros Brings Garment District Lunch Scene to Life, Opening Its 14th New York Metro Location
New York City-founded taqueria to come to 555 8th Avenue to expand lunch options for the business-heavy neighborhood
NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dos Toros is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest location on 555 8th Avenue (38th and 8th Ave) on January 30th, 2018. This expansion marks the 14th New York location (15th overall, including Chicago) and will be the first location to open using a cashless payment system from the get-go.
To celebrate their new opening, the restaurant is serving $1 entrees (burritos, platos, salads, quesadillas or 2 tacos) from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm and 5 pm - 8 pm.
"Coming from the West Coast, we know the West side can sometimes be overlooked." Said Leo Kremer, Co-CEO of Dos Toros. "We felt that a store between Penn Station and Port Authority could be a great addition for those who work or live in the area. We're hopeful our fresh cooking and elevated dining setting will give the Garment District another great lunch and dinner option to frequent."
This newest expansion will include new interior structures, such as furnishings and finishes that use an updated color palette featuring lighter wood aesthetics, cacti lining the shelves, and rustic black and white photos of the Mission taquerias from California that inspired Dos Toros in the first place. The 555 8th Avenue location will have thirty two seats for eat-in dining and will maintain the same great fast-casual dining experience for customers.
Dos Toros' commitment to scratch cooking remain a focal point as they prepare their hot sauces, butcher their meats, cook beans from scratch, and continue to turn whole ingredients into delicious burritos, platos (bowls), tacos, quesadillas and salads.
