Dr. David A. Jones Has Recently Been Recognized by America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals as a Roundtable Member for 2016

FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. David A. Jones of Tallahassee, Florida has recently been included in America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals Roundtable 2016 for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of healthcare. 

Dr. Jones was born in Dayton, Ohio.  He has been associated with the Capital Health Plan – Centerville Place location since 1984 and has been the Courtesy Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Florida State University since 2002.  Dr. Jones earned his M.D. at Ohio State College of Medicine in 1980 and completed his residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also Board Certified in Pediatrics.  His published works include "Resolution of hypoxemia in a liver transplant recipient after ligation of a portosystemic shunt," L. Terry Spencer MD, Max R. Langham MD, Mark H. Hoyer MD, David A. Jones MD, et al, J. Pediatrics 2000, 137: 575-7.  Dr. Jones is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Florida Pediatric Society, Capital Medical Society, Florida Medical Association and is on the Board of Directors for Big Bend Hospice and FSU Wesley Foundation. He is also on the Board of Directors for Get Outdoors Florida and the Capital Medical Society Foundation. Dr. Jones says, "Parents and I are a team working to help children develop normally and stay healthy.  Part of my job is to teach parents what to look for and to be an advocate for their children."  He currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida and enjoys sports, playing the tuba and singing in his church choir.
