Dreamstime Announces "Roaring25" Contest to Celebrate Surpassing 25 Million Images in its Massive Stock Image Library

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dreamstime, the world's largest stock photography community of designers and photographers, today announced a "Roaring25" photo submission contest in celebration of it exceeding the 25 million mark for images contained in its massive stock photo library . The contest is live and will run until October 5^th, 2014.  A single grand prize will be awarded for the Dreamstime user that uploads the most category-winning images to the Dreamstime database. The prize is $6,100, which signifies the largest license fee ever paid for an image on Dreamstime under a SR-EL license.  Dreamstime is the only community that has this Sell the Rights license, the SR-EL license represents a full exclusive buyout of the downloaded media.  The contest winner will be awarded the monetary prize as well as receive recognition on the Dreamstime website.

The contest follows a scavenger hunt theme and spans 10 different Dreamstime image subject categories, including several that are focused towards mobile device users:

2. Food
3. Parties
4. Travel/ A Great Escape
5. Crazy/Out of the Box/Outrageous
6. An Intense Competition
7. Give Me Shelter- the emotional side of things, home, helping people in need
8. Business
9. Women
10. Sustainable Living

Each user can submit a maximum of 25 images total among all categories. Dreamstime community members will pick the best image from each category by awarding it points from 1 to 5, and the winner will be the photographer that places the most winners in the most categories. Therefore, entrants are encouraged to submit photos that cover as many subject categories as possible. Users that upload photos through the Dreamstime Companion mobile app should insert the keyword "Roaring25" to have their images properly tagged for the contest.  You can download the app here:
