Dryer Vent Wizard Raises $22,000 to Benefit Children's Burn Foundation
Leading Dryer Vent Cleaning and Repair Franchise Raises Funds for Non-Profit for Sixth Consecutive Year
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dryer Vent Wizard, North America's leading dryer cleaning and repair franchise, raised $22,000 throughout the past year to benefit the Children's Burn Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps child burn survivors and provides state-of-the-art reconstructive treatment, emergency family assistance, survivor and family camps, counseling, a teen support program, and prevention and education programs that reach more than 50,000 children and families annually.
Together, Dryer Vent Wizard and the Children's Burn Foundation work to raise awareness about the dangers of fires. Each year, during National Fire Prevention Month in October, franchisees pledge to donate a portion of their profits. In 2017, franchisees donated more than $14,200. Home office employees hosted a can and bottle drive, and corporate vendors also donated. Additional funds were donated from online contributions.
The franchise stepped up its efforts this past year by participating in the Tough Mudder race, which challenges participants' strength, stamina, mental grit and teamwork in a series of 10-12 mile obstacle mud-run events. A Dryer Vent Wizard corporate team that included Terry Reuer, CEO of Dryer Vent Wizard, Jason Kapica, Vice President of Dryer Vent Wizard, Mike Donnelly, legal administrator, as well as seven friends and family members, raised $1,160.

Over the past six years, the franchise has donated a total of nearly $86,000 to the Children's Burn Foundation.
