CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK) has declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.24 per share. The dividend is payable on June 16, 2010, to shareholders of record at the close of business May 21, 2010.

This is the 84th consecutive year that Duke Energy has paid a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock.
