DuraTite™ 2.0 Spray Foam Insulation Earns ICC-ES Report, GREENGUARD Certifications

SAN DIEGO, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DuraTite™ 2.0, a closed cell spray polyurethane foam insulation recently introduced by Rhino Linings Corporation, has been issued an International Code Council Evaluation Services Report and has earned the GREENGUARD® indoor air quality certifications.

ICC-ES provides unbiased, third-party technical evaluations of building products. In the construction industry, the Evaluation Service Report, ESR 3556 lets architects, specifiers, contractors and building inspectors know that a product meets all required life safety and building codes.

DuraTite 2.0 also earned UL Environment's GREENGUARD Certification and GREENGUARD Gold Certification which means it complies with stringent chemical emissions standards set by UL Environment for indoor air quality.

Products with GREENGUARD Certification are compliant with emissions levels for more than 360 volatile organic compounds plus a limit on the total of all chemical emissions combined. GREENGUARD Gold Certification means the product meets additional safety factors to account for sensitive individuals, such as children and the elderly, and ensures that the product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.

DuraTite 2.0 is a 245fa-blown spray foam insulation for buildings. The product has been formulated so that it can be applied on substrates with a wide temperature range, which means it can easily be applied in extremely hot and extremely cold climates. Because it is a closed cell insulation, DuraTite 2.0 spray foam insulation is an ideal choice for these climates and for specific applications where vapor drive is a concern.
