Dutchland Plastics Hires Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Jody Becker brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience
OOSTBURG, Wis., March 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dutchland Plastics ("Dutchland" or the "Company"), a contract manufacturer of custom rotationally molded ("rotomolded") plastics products, announced today the hiring of Jody Becker as its new vice president of sales and marketing. Mr. Becker will report to Dutchland Chief Executive Officer Randy Herman.
Mr. Becker brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience to Dutchland. He most recently served as the director of national account for Jefferson Electric / Pioneer Power Systems (Franklin, WI). There he developed a national accounts sales and marketing plan that identified and expanded vertical markets while growing the OEM sales channel by over 150 percent. Prior to this, Mr. Becker co-founded Holy Spirits, LLC (Milwaukee, WI) where he secured capital investment, established supplier and distribution agreements, and developed and implemented the marketing model, tools, collaterals, and processes for the company. Earlier, Mr. Becker served as the general manager and director of sales and marketing for SPX Dock Products ("SPX"), TKO Doors Division (Sussex, WI / Dallas, TX). At SPX he had full P&L responsibilities, with direct reports from operations, engineering, and sales. In this capacity he pioneered the development of high gross margin products while transitioning the business from direct sales to a hybrid distributor sales model, an effort that increased revenues by 65 percent and net profits by over 240 percent.
"We are excited to have Jody join the Dutchland family," said Mr. Herman. "His experience, business acumen and ability to successfully navigate multi-faceted sales and marketing projects is a perfect match for our needs as we continue to grow our business."
In his new role, Mr. Becker will develop and implement strategic initiatives across all sales and marketing functions of the Company while staying in frequent contact with customers, strategic business partners and industry associations. He will also serve on the Company's senior leadership team and as Dutchland's chief spokesperson.
"It's a great honor to become part of the Dutchland team," said Mr. Becker. "The Company is coming off a tremendous year with no signs of letting up. I look forward to accelerating the team's initiatives while continuing to deliver the highest quality products to our customers."
Dutchland, which manufactures cutting-edge products for customers across industry lines, is the third largest contract rotational molder in the United States. During the past year, the all-American Company instituted a successful growth plan that added 50 well-paying jobs, raised starting salaries and hourly wages, increased the number of paid holidays for its workers, and celebrated its 50th anniversary by recommitting to community and family-friendly programs. In January, the Company announced an expansion into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in the village of Canastota, New York. The move will create an additional 42 jobs in the Empire State.
"Throughout his career, Jody has proven himself as someone who can consistently deliver on customers needs," said Peter Kirchof, chairman of the Dutchland Board. "Whether leading marketing transformations or strategic sales initiatives, his work has been exemplary. As Dutchland continues to grow in the global marketplace, there's no doubt that Jody will have a significant impact on our business operations."
