e-MDs ranks 5th overall in Medscape EHR Report 2014

AUSTIN, Texas, July 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- e-MDs, a leading provider of electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management (PM) solutions, is ranked fifth overall in the Medscape EHR Report 2014 and in the top five in 13 other categories, the company announced today.

The report, released earlier this month, is based on a survey from April 9^th through June 3^rd this year of 18,575 physicians across 25 specialties in the U.S. In the survey, physicians answered questions about their use of an EHR and its performance traits, as well as their satisfaction with their EHR vendor.

• EHR by Practice Situation – e-MDs ranked fourth in the survey for part of hospital or health system network using the network's EHR.
• Ease of Use – e-MDs ranked fifth overall. It also ranked fifth in the easy to learn and ease of EHR implementation categories, and was tied for fourth for ease of data entry.
• Satisfaction – e-MDs ranked fifth overall both in physician and staff satisfaction, as well as value for the money.  It also tied for fourth in appearance and overall usefulness of record.
• Vendor Support – e-MDs ranked fourth in training.
• Connectivity – e-MDs was tied for third for connectivity with reference and hospital labs.
• Usefulness as a Clinical Tool – e-MDs was tied for third both for appropriateness of clinical content and the ability to support workflow.
