Eagle Air Aviation welcomes third Cessna Citation CJ2 Jet, increasing organ transplant fleet capacity by over 30 percent

HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle Air Aviation, a charter and organ air transportation aviation company, has announced the acquisition of its third Cessna Citation CJ2 jet, increasing its fleet capacity by more than 30 percent. The addition of the third jet further expands Eagle Air Aviation's on-demand service for jets, and helicopters transporting donor organs in a safe and timely manner.

Air transportation of donor organs is crucial for careful delivery of organs during emergency, time-sensitive situations. With Wheels Up's recent acquisition of GrandView and that company's transition to solely charter travel, there is one less major player in the organ air transplant business, impacting several organ transplant entities and their customers. Eagle Air Aviation's addition of its third citation jet marks the company as a Mid-Atlantic industry leader in organ air transportation.

The Cessna CJ2 is known for its speed, comfort, and efficiency, making it a popular choice for charter and mission-critical travel. The aircraft has a normal range of 1,600 nautical miles, a cruising speed of 460 miles per hour, can carry seven passengers, and 1,100 pounds of luggage or cargo.
