"Early Bird" Registration For 2013 SRI Conference Extended To August

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Organizers of the 24th annual SRI Conference (formerly SRI in the Rockies) have announced that the "Early Bird" registration rate has been extended to August 12. The SRI Conference returns to Colorado Springs, CO this year—near where it all got started back in 1990. The Broadmoor Hotel, which has incorporated many new sustainable features and guest policies, will serve as the site of The SRI Conference in 2013.

In 2010, The Broadmoor converted 30,000 light fixtures, replaced windows with upgraded thermal-insulating panes and replaced old building plumbing to be more attentive to water conservation. Hotel guest rooms are now fitted out with restricted-flow toilets and shower heads. All of the irrigation systems for the hotel grounds have been updated to include vast drip irrigation systems, rain monitoring systems, and remote computer controlled operation.
