East Carolina Community Development, Inc. and Avanti Residential Housing Partner to Build Battle Bridge Senior Apartments in Raleigh, North Carolina

Affordable Senior Housing Set to Break Ground in Summer 2026

RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- East Carolina Community Development, Inc ("ECCDI"), a North Carolina nonprofit, and Avanti Residential Housing, an affiliate of Denver-based Avanti Residential, a national multifamily investor, owner and operator, announce a strategic partnership to develop Battle Bridge Apartments, a $50 million affordable housing community for seniors aged 55–plus. Construction is slated to begin in summer 2026, pending final local approvals.

Located along Battle Bridge Road, southeast of downtown Raleigh, the 32-acre community will feature 50 quad-style residential buildings with one- and two-bedroom units, a central clubhouse, walking paths and sitting areas situated within beautifully landscaped grounds. The project prioritizes social services, sustainability and energy efficient design. The first units are expected to be ready for occupancy in 2027.
