Eaton Vance Enhanced Equity Income Fund II Report Of Earnings

BOSTON, Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Enhanced Equity Income Fund II (NYSE: EOS), a diversified closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months and six months ended June 30, 2013. The Fund's fiscal year ends on December 31, 2013.

For the three months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $2,121,567 ($0.045 per common share). For the six months ended June 30, 2013, the Fund had net investment income of $1,742,491 ($0.037 per common share). In comparison, for the three months ended June 30, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $601,910 ($0.013 per common share). For the six months ended June 30, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $836,028 ($0.017 per common share). 

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended June 30, 2013 were $4,491,367 ($0.092 per common share) and net realized and unrealized gains for the six months ended June 30, 2013 were $49,399,214 ($1.032 per common share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended June 30, 2012 were $11,916,573 ($0.246 per common share) and net realized and unrealized gains for the six months ended June 30, 2012 were $44,099,165 ($0.907 per common share).

On June 30, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $595,834,904. The net asset value per common share on June 30, 2013 was $12.50 based on 47,655,123 common shares outstanding. In comparison, on June 30, 2012, net assets of the Fund were $588,557,734. The net asset value per common share on June 30, 2012 was $12.14 based on 48,492,823 common shares outstanding.
