Edtech partners unveil distinctive K-12 AI learning assistant

An independently reviewed study, Quantifying the Learning Benefits of AI-Enhanced Video Instruction, revealed that learners exposed to interactive videos and AI-simulated conversations scored significantly higher on post-tests than those who watched standard instructional videos. 

Richard L. Lamb, an expert at the University of Georgia in tracking and measuring students' thinking skills in real time, validated the results. 

"Learning outcomes studies show a +0.35-effect size," he said. "This study makes it clear: when you build interaction and feedback right into a video, it stops being a passive experience and turns into real learning that sticks." 

The study also showed novice learners reap the biggest gains. Providing them with high-impact, supportive learning experiences early on helps close achievement gaps before they widen, leading to stronger long-term outcomes. 

A small focus group of novice learners ranging in grades three through 11 demoed Lincoln AI powered by Creatium and validated the new tool's efficacy and high level of engagement. 

"I really like the learning assistant because it explains everything really well and helps me understand it more," 11^th grader Tad C. said.

"I like it because it helps me remember important things from the lesson," fifth grader Easton N. said. 

"It's really good," Lila Z., a third grader, said. "I love that it always has a good answer for you and tells you anything you want to know." 

Seventh grader Callie S. vouched for the tool's dynamism: 

"I feel like I'm talking to a real person," she said. 

The K-12 Lincoln AI Powered by Creatium (formerly ProfJim) is available to support English language arts and social studies, as well as select mathematics and science classes in the 2025-2026 school year.
