EEI's Phil Moeller Receives the Financial Research Institute's Crystal Award for Distinguished Contribution
COLUMBIA, Mo., Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Solutions Officer Philip D. Moeller was presented with the Financial Research Institute's (FRI's) prestigious Crystal Award for Distinguished Contribution for regulatory policy.
FRI, which is housed within the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business at the University of Missouri, presents the Crystal Award annually to an individual who makes outstanding and sustained contributions to the design, implementation, or analysis of public utility regulatory policy. By recognizing notable achievement from across the regulated electric power industry, the award helps further FRI's mission of fostering comprehensive examination of sound regulatory policy.

The award was presented to Moeller during the 2016 FRI symposium, held at the University of Missouri's Columbia campus.
As senior vice president of energy delivery and chief customer solutions officer, Moeller works with EEI member companies and other stakeholders to develop and promote sound policies that help ensure the delivery of safe, reliable, affordable, and clean energy to more than 220 million Americans. Prior to joining EEI in February 2016, Moeller served as a commissioner on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), ending his tenure as the second-longest serving member of FERC. In office from 2006 through 2015, Moeller ended his service as the only Senate-confirmed member of the federal government appointed by both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama.
