Elastifile, the enterprise software-defined storage and elastic data services company, today announced it is building its global sales and marketing engine with two key appointments to its executive management team. Dan Beal has joined as Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Andy Fenselau has joined as Vice President of Marketing. Both bring proven experience in driving extraordinary growth and market leadership across a range of enterprise storage and software businesses. To support this new phase of the company's growth, the executive appointments are accompanied by an expansion to Elastifile's Silicon Valley office.
With over 20 years of Sales leadership, Dan Beal joins Elastifile from Oracle where he was Group VP of the Infrastructure Cloud team and responsible for over $500M in contract bookings. Prior to Oracle, he helped drive the growth of Cleversafe from pre-revenue through global growth, eventually concluded by Cleversafe's acquisition by IBM. Dan also drove success in earlier roles at EMC, NetApp, and HDS. As EVP of Global Sales, Dan is building the direct and indirect sales organization to deliver Elastifile's customer success globally, including the initial teams in North America and Europe.
"Looking at the trends across the industry, I am excited to join the team that is solving the toughest challenges for distributed global file systems, cloud-scale SDS, and hybrid cloud services," said Beal.
Andy Fenselau brings 20 years of marketing success leading transformational enterprise solutions to #1 market positions across storage, databases, software and SaaS, including XtremIO, Delphix, and Veritas/Symantec. Most recently, Andy led all marketing for EMC XtremIO, enabling it to become the fastest growing product in Enterprise IT history, hitting $1 billion in sales in just over 18 months. At Elastifile, Andy leads market strategy and all marketing and sales enablement for its global ramp.
"Elastifile is not only delivering the most compelling SDS solution, but it is addressing the final roadblock to seamless hybrid cloud data services and integrated application workflows," said Fenselau. "I'm thrilled to help bring this to our customers for unified data and workflow access for all their environments."
Amir Aharoni, Elastifile's CEO and Co-Founder, said "We picked Dan and Andy because of their proven leadership, their experience delivering aggressive global customer and sales success, and their innovation in driving new markets and use cases - all essential for Elastifile's mission to bring customers truly elastic data services across their private, public, and hybrid clouds."
